VdA Vieira de Almeida has been shortlisted for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe 2026 in the Innovative Lawyers in AI, Digital Regulation and Technology category, in recognition of the work carried out within the framework of the New Space Portugal Agenda.

The 8th Jornadas Aeroespaciais brought together civilian and military experts to discuss the theme “From Sea to Space: The New Horizon of Air Power”, featuring a keynote presentation by the Portuguese Air Force entitled “From Space to Decision: How WP10 Strengthens Portugal's Operational Autonomy”.

Researchers, public authorities, companies and end users gathered in Lisbon to discuss how Earth Observation, artificial intelligence and geospatial applications can support better decision-making and help address the Atlantic region's key challenges.

Thirty-six new products, developed by a consortium of 41 partners, demonstrating Portugal's ability to design, develop, industrialise and export space technology. These results were presented by the NEW SPACE PORTUGAL Agenda, led by GEOSAT, at the 3rd Mobilising Agendas Meeting.

The Atlantic Constellation was one of the key highlights of this year's AED Days, providing another opportunity to demonstrate the strategic importance of this new Earth Observation space infrastructure.

Over the course of two inspiring days, the Space Education Summit 2026 brought together students, educators, researchers, industry leaders and space enthusiasts to discuss one of the most important pillars of the future space sector: education.
